Transfer switch is used to control the circuit of two different power connection mode of a switch, it usually has three pins, respectively, the common pin (COM), a connection mode of the pin (A) and another connection mode of the pin (B).
The wiring procedure is as follows
1. First determine the two power supply mode to be connected. Assume that power supply A is the power supply for normal operation and power supply B is the backup power supply.
2. Find the two connection points in the circuit where the power supply mode needs to be switched. For example, this could be two wires in the circuit.
3 Connect the wires to the two pins of the transfer switch. One lead is connected to the COM pin and the other lead is connected to the A and B pins respectively. This connects the transfer switch to the circuit.
4. Select the power connection method as required. When the transfer switch is connected to pin A, the circuit is connected to power A. When the transfer switch is connected to pin B, the circuit is connected to power B.
5. Install the transfer switch in a suitable position so that the power connection method can be easily switched.
It should be noted that the circuit should be disconnected before wiring to avoid electric shock or other safety issues. In addition, depending on the specific application scenario and circuit design, it may be necessary to use additional resistors, inductors, and other components to protect the circuit and control current flow.
